Your Responsibilities
As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for:
Platform & Architecture Leadership
• Contribute to the definition and evolution of the backend and API platform architecture.
• Drive technical decisions related to microservices, APIs, integration patterns, and data access.
• Define and promote platform standards, best practices, and architectural guidelines.
• Ensure architectural consistency and technical quality across teams.
Hands‑on Engineering
• Remain hands‑on in critical platform components and complex technical areas.
• Design, build, and evolve C# / ASP.NET Core microservices used across the platform.
• Review complex changes and support teams on design and implementation decisions.
• Drive high standards in testing, performance, reliability, and maintainability.
API & Integration Platform
• Contribute to the technical evolution of the API Platform.
• Define best practices for API design, versioning, governance, and lifecycle management using tools such as Gravitee.
• Support teams in designing efficient and consistent APIs and integrations.
Cross‑team Collaboration & Enablement
• Work closely with backend, frontend, DevOps, and infrastructure teams to improve platform capabilities.
• Act as a technical mentor and reference for engineers across multiple teams.
• Provide guidance without direct people management responsibilities.
• Participate in technical discussions, reviews, and architecture forums.
Cloud & Platform Strategy
• Promote cloud‑first and container‑first architectures.
• Collaborate with DevOps and Infrastructure teams on CI/CD, observability, security, and cost optimization.
• Contribute to long‑term platform and infrastructure evolution.
Continuous Improvement
• Stay up to date with backend, cloud, and platform engineering trends.
• Identify platform bottlenecks, technical debt, and improvement opportunities.
• Propose and implement improvements to architecture, tooling, and workflows.
• Contribute to technical documentation and knowledge‑sharing initiatives.
What We're Looking For
Experience
• Minimum 8 years of experience in backend or platform engineering.
• Proven experience building and maintaining scalable backend platforms.
• Previous experience as Senior Engineer, Staff Engineer, Tech Lead, or equivalent.
• Hands‑on experience with AI development tools and configuration (GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code).
• Experience working in cloud environments such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
Languages
• Fluent in English (mandatory).
• French language proficiency is a plus.
(Interview will be conducted in English)
Communication
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
Technical Skills
• Strong proficiency in C# and .NET Core.
• Deep experience with microservices architectures and API platforms.
• Experience with API gateways and management platforms (Gravitee, Kong, Azure APIM).
• Experience with relational databases at scale.
• Solid understanding of SOLID principles, design patterns, and modern architectural styles.
• Strong knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Strong experience with Azure and/or AWS.
• Experience with AI‑assisted development tools.
Interpersonal Skills
• Ability to collaborate in a diverse and dynamic environment.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to influence technical decisions without formal authority.
• High ownership mindset and ability to drive initiatives end to end.
Our Recruitment Process:
15-minute introductory call with our Talent Acquisition Specialist.
Technical interview(s) with the Engineering team.
Architecture-oriented discussion with the Platform Engineering Director.
Final cultural and alignment conversation.
