As a Staff/Principal Engineer, you will serve as a technical leader, driving the architecture, design, and implementation of both backend and frontend systems for our applications. Your mastery of C#, .NET Core, database technologies, React, TypeScript, and JavaScript will be pivotal in delivering scalable, secure, and performant solutions across the stack. You will lead cross-functional engineering teams, collaborating closely with product, DevOps, and design to deliver innovative APIs and user interfaces.
A key focus of this role is the strategic integration and configuration of advanced AI agents, including agentic approaches, to accelerate development workflows and enhance engineering productivity. You will set technical direction, champion best practices, and foster continuous improvement in development processes while mentoring engineers and promoting a culture of innovation.
A strong emphasis is placed on automated testing. You must have hands-on experience with unit testing, integration testing, and end-to-end testing using tools such as Newman, Playwright, Cypress, or similar frameworks.
Your Responsibilities:
Development
Lead the architectural design and development of backend and frontend systems, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security across cloud-based environments.
Drive the integration and utilization of AI agents for development, engineering, and operational use cases, leveraging agentic methodologies to optimize workflows.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams—including engineering, DevOps, product, and design—to deliver robust APIs, services, and user interfaces.
Establish and enforce best coding and testing practices, including automated unit, integration, and end-to-end testing using frameworks such as Newman, Playwright, Cypress, and others.
Mentor and guide engineers, providing technical leadership and fostering skill development across backend and frontend domains.
Champion process improvement, technical innovation, and the adoption of emerging technologies throughout the engineering organization.
Apply SOLID principles and design clean, maintainable software architectures (e.g. Hexagonal, Onion, Clean Architecture).
Design, implement, and maintain unit, integration, and performance/load tests.
Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to ensure high-quality standards.
Apply domain-driven design (DDD) principles to model complex business domains.
DevOps and Cloud
Containerize backend services using Docker.
Work with CI/CD pipelines to automate build and deployment processes.
Monitor system health and performance using logging, metrics, and tracing; diagnose issues and drive continuous improvements.
Ensure security best practices are followed in backend implementations.
Contribute to the design and operation of highly available, scalable distributed systems supporting high concurrency workloads.
Broad Experience working in cloud environments such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
What We're Looking For:
Extensive experience designing, developing, and maintaining backend systems using C#, .NET Core, and modern database technologies.
o Deep expertise in frontend development with React, TypeScript, and JavaScript, including building high-performance, scalable UI components and applications.
o Demonstrated ability to configure, integrate, and leverage AI agents and agentic approaches within engineering teams and development processes.
o Proven track record in automated testing, including hands-on experience with unit, integration, performance and end-to-end testing frameworks (e.g., Newman, Playwright, Cypress).
o Strong leadership skills with experience mentoring engineers, setting technical direction, and guiding architectural decisions.
o Excellent collaboration abilities across engineering, product, and design, with a commitment to continuous improvement and innovation.
Language Skills
o Fluent in English (mandatory).
o French language proficiency is a plus.
Soft Skills
o Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
o Excellent communication and collaboration int cross-functional teams.
o Ability to take ownership and drive initiatives to completion.
EXPERIENCE
o A minimum of 8 years of experience in backend development and 4 years in fronted.
o Experience in developing and maintaining scalable web services.
o Experience writing and maintaining unit, integration, performance tests and E2E.
o Experienced with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
o Hands-on experience with GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude-Code … configuration, rule management and use.
o Experience working in cloud environments such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
Collaboration and Leadership
You will operate as a strategic partner and technical mentor, working across teams to ensure alignment, foster innovation, and drive the adoption of best practices and advanced AI agentic solutions. Your leadership will be instrumental in shaping both the technology landscape and the engineering culture of the organization.
